Saying thanks is a good way to motivate one back into a bit of jewelry making. This was my first foray back into just that since the chemo got a hold of my fingers and nerves. Geometric Triangle Dangles – the “Sunset” necklace is a continuation of the exploration of beaded geometric shapes started in “Geometric Shapes: Tools for Beading“.
With the eternal triangle
Encircled by droplets of sea-green wonder
Capturing a golden orb,
I dangle in iridescent pearls
In the Sunset golden hues of memories.

“Stately” necklace came about because I was playing with geometric shapes.

“Warped Beaded Triangle” necklace came about as a result of me playing around with a basic shape, warping it .. and letting the resultant shape speak to and surprise you. I am still playing around and getting familiar with basic geometric shapes. In “Geometric Shapes: Tools for Beading“, I yakked about how important I think learning groundwork rules are in being able to achieve flow and freedom in the long run.

I decided to play around with some wire weaving. With some very fine wire (0.25mm or 30gauge). I thought I would go blind there for a while. But still here. And this art nouveauish wire woven necklace has been christened “Aquamarine Romance”.

Following on from learning how to bead bezel square rivoli (creating a square shape using round rivoli), I decided to play around with the idea in some art deco style. These “Art Deco Squares” necklaces are a result of that play.

For this mix media necklace “Warm My Heart”, I will start with the detailed finished project. Virtually all the components have been created from scratch. I will detail how to make them in the later part of this article for those of you who are curious.
