In my Beading Circles Round Metal Rings, I started a compilation of varied samples that resulted from a tutorial on how to bead in circles around metal rings. (Original Tutorial: YouTube C y L Accessories, Tutorial Aretes de aros decorados con cristales y mostacillas.)
This is my photo tutorial (which is often easier and quicker referencing that videos when you only want a refresher) based on those same principles. Specifically for how to make this pair of earrings.
I have trialed a number of methods of beading circles round metal ring before. Here I am trying not for a tutorial but a compilation of methods I am trialing. There will be a direct link to each tutorial, from various artists. This way, I have a better chance of looking up how to bead circles using metal ring (or any other type of rings, be they metal or not!).
I first heard of weighted blankets in May 2019. It is now Nov 2019. And I have started a big project to make a beaded weighted blanket – double sided. However as it is taking so long and I have been diverted to other projects so often, I think I better start documenting what I can before I forget what it is I am doing!!!
Note: 8 Feb 2020 … while incomplete, I am publishing this post now but right now (and who knows for how long for!) … it is a Work In Progress. A slow WIP at that!
I don’t have time to write out detailed steps. So even though this collection of rivolis are not fully identical to the original tutorials on which they were based, I will just show my finished beaded bezel rivolis and a link to the original tutorials for diy referencing.
This sample below uses 14mm Swarovski rivoli. And it starts with (superduo) x12.

Pattern for this round, short crochet cape is now available. This cape is worked in overlay crochet. Perfect for avoiding chilled necks and shoulders when you want to sit up in bed to read or meditate. But it is so lovely and flattering that it is also ideal to expose it to admiration in town or for a fun outing.
The short cape is easy to wear, much easier than a jacket.

Flip Flop Crochet Booties – This is my first crochet booties using a pair of flip flops (aka slippers, thongs). So there was a lot of frogging and experimentation along the way. I will try my best to detail the steps I took.

I designed this Hello Blanket with the thought of providing some cuddle comfort to a child who might be going through a tough time in hospital. I hope to be able to send my finished Hello Blanket to a children’s cancer hospital. I am also planning to list the graph for this for anyone interested in the design.

Lattice & Buds Fingerless Gloves happened in the lull between doing something else and waiting for the materials to arrive. While waiting, and twiddling my restless thumbs, feeling the cold seeping in through the doorways … my fingers itched for something warm to cozy up to. So I found myself in the long hallways of creating a full blown pattern tutorial for making these set of winter gloves.

Round Poncho aka Circular Poncho, Circle Poncho. Shh … don’t tell anyone but I started this to be a bed poncho (to stay up in bed reading or just playing on the iPhone) … but it turned out as a full fledge poncho!!
