etsy on trial

I have finally put some new active listings on etsy. Time to put etsy on trial. Again. It has been more than 4 or 5 years since I had an active store on etsy.

So today, the store really reopens. To start off, I have listed DISCOUNTED items – discounted up to 40%. That is a good way to celebrate a new possible path, right?

As selling is not my main focus, I am looking around for a reliable, safe, easy-to-manage way to conduct occasional sales.  Sure, I have my own store up and running – which comes with its own advantages and disadvantages. Same with Etsy.  Hence: etsy on trial.  I guess in a few months, I will be able to report back as to how this new experiment goes.

Wirework Tutorial and Nicole Hanna

I have only ever bought 2 online tutorials in my life. My virgin purchase was from Heather Collins (Butterfly Clasp tutorial). My second, a few days ago, was a wirework tutorial from Nicole Hanna.  I loved it so much I am about to get another one from Nicole Hanna.

Dear Nicole,

if you ever get to read this,

  1. thank you so much for the freebie tutorial and for the (paid) tutorial.  Enjoying it to bits!
  2. I am so sorry I called you the wrong name (in the Message to Seller box).  I had only just found you when I was compelled to buy your tutorial.  And my brain leaked the wrong name to me when addressing you!

Now after this wee status update, I am off to look for my next tutorial. That should keep me busy and out of trouble for the rest of the night! Ta-Ta!

Difference between a Bookshelf vs DVD Storage Shelf

I know this is a crafty centric site, but as with almost all crafters – we are also hoarders.  And we always need storage storage storage.  I just bought myself a bookshelf.  It was really advertised as a DVD Storage Shelf.  But it did say it could also store books.  And apart from getting up to get my tape measure to figure out what the difference between them was, I just went ahead, bought it, got it, constructed it .. and now know the difference between the two.

ClearlyHelena Store Reopens after Homelessness

Hi Everyone,
Just a quickie note to tell you that finally, ClearlyHelena Store has reopened.

Had to close on 23 Aug 2013 and was involved in a long process of selling and then desperately looking for a new home. Now at long last, we are almost almost settled and ready to go! A long process it has been – almost 6 months of homelessness!!!

 

Sorry for any inconvenience caused. There might still be a few unexpected hiccups as I am still in the midst of sorting and organising – so please be a bit indulgent for a bit longer. Many thanks!

As I have been saying over at NetWebbing.com in Internet Marketing Success – Core Essentials, WordPress is the platform recommended by most internet gurus.  So naturally, I had to move ClearlyHelena to WordPress.

However that produces a few (short-term) problems.  For one thing, what about all my posts I had already done?  For another, you may get bored?  But …

Follow my blog with Bloglovin –  I was told by a wonderful friend Ren, via Facebook to sign up for Bloglovin so she can follow me.  Was I chuffed?  Yup!

So I have signed up.

If you too have a blog and you would like members of Bloglovin to give you some loving – How to Keep Your Blog Readers and Followers with Bloglovin (by A Little Unhinged)  is a very useful article detailing how to add your blog to Bloglovin.  (You need to do this before you can get any Bloglovin followers).  And don’t be like me – read the entire article before you get started.  Makes your life easier – I assure you!
