Cropped Bomber Jacket (CH0543) 📒

A warm, chunky funky, colourful, thick, cropped bomber jacket made in 10ply Aran yarn. Endless possibilities to change colours around when making your own. Large secure wooden painted buttons with inside pocket to keep hands fiddle-free and snuggly.

Materials & Specifications

Approx. Size:

Sm - Large
(Note: approximately (Aust) Size 8-14) for a loose to semi-loose fit
(refer to diagram for more specific measurements)
Yarn: • any 10ply / Aran (e.g. 4Seasons SpotSaver)
• any 8ply / DK (for inside pockets)


I used:
• 4 Seasons, Spot Saver, 10ply/Aran (100% Acrylic) and
• Stylecraft, Special DK (100% Acrylic)
Crochet Technique/Stitch: Basic Crochet and Tunisian Crochet,
fss (fat slip stitch), Romanian Cord, sc blo, sc flo, twisted sc, modified TSS (Tunisian Simple stitch)

Crochet Terminology: American & Crochet Symbols
Level: Intermediate
(only because I don’t explain how-to do common crochet stitches, sewing up, weaving in, etc. I provide mini videos/tuts where I can but you will be expected to know how to do most of the common stitches.)
Manufacturer's Recommended Needle/Hook Size: 5mm
Hooks Used: 5mm, 4mm (for edging, etc.), 4mm Tunisian crochet hook
Number of Colours: I used 5
but you can use just 1 to any number you like!
Final Size:
Final Nett Wt (approx.): 770g
Care: Gentle, warm machine wash. Squeeze (not wring) out water. Roll in dry towel to absorb more moisture. Dry flat.
GAUGE (approx.) [12.4 stitches x 13.9 rows] = [10x10 cm square]

For a non-cropped version, I might lengthened the length to 54cm (rather than 50cm) ==> start with apprx 67sts (cf. 62sts)
